Includes description of holy places like puruSoottama kSeetra (Puri in Orissa), kooNaarka (Konark) and eekaamra kSeetra (Bhuvaneshwar), creation of the world, gods and human beings, geography of the Earth as comprising of seven island-continents, dakSa's sacrifice, descent of gaMga, story of kRSNa and some of his avataara-s like narasiMha and varaaha, the paths of saaMkhya and yooga.
